Four LDS missionaries serving in the Utah-Logan mission were injured Wednesday in a auto crash in Preston, Idaho, which left two elderly people in another vehicle dead.
Daniel Woodruff with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints said all four missionaries are expected to recover, but the driver and a passenger in another vehicle were killed. Our hearts go out to their families and loved ones at this tragic time.
The two pronounced dead at the scene were identified as L. Max Richards, 83, and Phyllis Richards, 80, both of Franklin, Idaho.

The four missionaries were taken to Franklin County Medical Center by ambulance, and Debra Sistrunk was later transported to a Pocatello hospital by helicopter, officials said.
