Various launch promos are running, with 40% off the price on Steam, 20% off and a free theme on PlayStation 4, and if you're on Xbox One, the game will be launching straight into the Xbox Game Pass subscription service.
Laser League will launch on Thursday, May 10 for Steam on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Offering up intense online or local multiplayer matches with friends, Laser League'sfrenetic yet intuitive gameplay is easy to play but hard to master, in a throwback to the heyday of gaming's more approachable arcade action.
In Laser League, the biggest high-speed contact sport of 2150, you'll battle opponents for control over nodes that cover the arena in deadly lasers, while avoiding the coloured beams of your rivals. Special offensive and defensive abilities, as well as power-ups on the arena floor, provide an edge at crucial moments.
Laser League will boast six classes - Blade, Smash, Thief, Ghost, Shock, and Snipe - to play as, 16 maps with their own laser patterns to contend with, 15 match-altering power-ups, 12 modifier effects for tailoring each class to suit your play-style, four global stadiums filled to capacity with amped-up fans, and more than 250 individual character customisations to choose from.
"Early Access has allowed us to get feedback from players and focus on the priorities", said Simon Bennett, studio director, Roll7.
Steam gets to forge ahead though. At launch they'll get an additional seven maps, two stadiums and two new power-up, as well as six new modifiers. The NewMotion Brand DLC will be available for consoles later in May. He recently moved to California to pursue whatever future endeavors were there.
