Anyone trying to access Twitter Tuesday morning might run into an error message.

Social Media site Twitter is down from some time, users across world are being shown unhappy robot on their computer screens. The site claims it will have "things back to normal soon".

Micro-blogging network, Twitter is down across the globe.

Twitter users hoping to share their latest thought with the world are being confronted by a "something is technically wrong" page.

According to US' Newsweek, in New York City, almost 300 official reports have been made to downdetector. The micro-blogging site was also not working in Pakistan as of 7:15pm local time.

Among the several disruptions which Twitter faced, the most recent outage was reported on January 15, 2016.

Twitter users rushed to Facebook to comment on the crash, many using the hashtag #TwitterDown.

In November 2017, Twitter introduced a major update for its users, increasing the size of tweets from 140 to 280 characters.
