Former Manchester United star Nemanja Vidic has slammed Arsenal's defensive organisation saying that they "lack communication". "There are six players against three and there is no communication about who is going to go and attack the ball, who is going to cover", he told Sky Sports. "It was too slow, which was disappointing", he said.
"I thought Man United today didn't move the ball fast enough, they didn't move without the ball enough". It's too many touches, that's the problem, especially against smaller teams.
"It's sad to see Man United lose at home to West Brom, a team who have won just three games all season".
Vidic played for eight-and-a-half years at United, winning five league titles and the Champions League during his time at Old Trafford under Sir Alex Ferguson.
The Serbian admits he is anxious about United's mentality going into the FA Cup semi-final against Tottenham on Saturday, and says United's players should be fully aware about what is expected of them at the club.
"It hurts [losing to West Brom], because United need a good spirit ahead of the Tottenham match [FA Cup semi-final at Wembley on Saturday], an important match", he added. I think the Man United players know every game is important and they have to win.
"It is kind of a weird one because you want to put all our focus on the Europa League and it was great to see Joe Willock today and Reiss Nelson the other week - you want to see youngsters - but at the minute, you can't really play on "we can rotate and have it easy in the league" while thinking about the Europa League".
