However, there was a scary moment during the game when Mitchell came up hobbling after his foot was stepped on by Thunder forward Corey Brewer.

The Utah Jazz rookie gave quite a scare on Sunday in Game 1 of the team's first-round series against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Mitchell returned with 7:47 left in the fourth quarter but was subbed out about a minute later after making a jumper and grimacing as he ran back on defense. "Think I just stubbed my toe". But even after the game, Mitchell would downplay his foot injury.

Jazz coach Quin Snyder said all signs point to Mitchell being ready for Game 2 on Wednesday.

With that said, there is positive news on the injury front, with all indications pointing to a minor ailment on his left foot and a positive prognosis when it comes to an all-important Game 2.

The 21-year-old is the first player with 25 points and 10 rebounds in their career playoff debut since LeBron James in 2006.
