Seahawks sign ex-Panthers tight end Ed Dickson

Wide receiver Jaron Brown agreed to terms on a contract with the Seattle Seahawks, multiple media outlets reported.

Dickson, a former Oregon Duck, is expected to the replacement for Jimmy Graham, who signed a free agent deal with the Green Bay Packers.

Alexander started at safety last season for the Los Angeles Rams but was waived by the team in Week 5 and did not find employment for the rest of the season.

The agreement with Brown comes after Seattle lost speedy WR Paul Richardson to Washington in free agency. He gives the team depth at the position in case veteran star Kam Chancellor is unable to return from a neck injury.

The Seattle Seahawks addressed one of their offseason needs by signing tight end Ed Dickson to a three-year contract. Brown had a career-high 31 receptions and four touchdowns last season with the Cardinals.

Dickson had 30 receptions and one touchdown last season with the Panthers. The former No. 6 overall pick in 2013 has just nine career sacks and 104 tackles during stints with the Cleveland Browns, New England Patriots and Indianapolis Colts. The 30-year-old Dickson, in his ninth season, caught 30 passes for 437 yards and a touchdown with the Carolina Panthers in 2017.

Brown had 11 catches for 187 yards in seven games in 2016.
