Newly appointed Kwara United coach Abubakar Bala has told SCORENigeria he loves challenges after he took charge of the NPFL bottom team.
A statement by the Media Officer of the club, Abdulwaheed Bibire, confirmed this on Tuesday in Ilorin.
The new technical adviser, Bala is a former Niger Tornadoes boss; he guided the team to the final of the Aiteo Cup a year ago before being replaced at the start of this season.
"I sincerely desire the great support of the management, the fans and people of Kwara state to make the task of getting the team out of relegation a possibility". A senior colleague jokingly said that the problem at Kwara United is too overwhelming and weighty than my youthful body could shoulder.
"With my experience as coach of Niger Tornadoes where I took the team from the 17th position midseason to finish 11th as well as my national team experience, I do not believe that the Kwara United job is bigger than what I can handle".
"The management wishes the club's former coach the very best in his future endeavours".
"However, first and foremost the management must immediately see to the improvement of the welfare of the players".
"That's key to how we can turn things around and get the side out of relegation".
NAN reports that Kwara United had dropped seven points from a possible 18 points at home this season.
