Through roughly two days of the NFL's legal tampering period, the Indianapolis Colts have made little noise but the Jacksonville Jaguars are making headlines and the latest comes in the form of wide receiver Donte Moncrief.
The 2014 third-round pick showed promise during each of his first three seasons in Indianapolis, but with quarterback Andrew Luck out for the entire 2017 campaign, he struggled to build a rapport with replacement Jacoby Brissett, who favored T.Y. Hilton and Jack Doyle. This last season, he had a career-low 26 receptions and two touchdowns to go along with 391 yards in 12 games played with eight starts. After going against paying for Allen Robinson to stay, the Jacksonville Jaguars have chosen to give a new contract to Marqise Lee. The Jaguars also signed second-year wide receiver Shane Wynn, the team announced.
The Jacksonville Jaguars continue to be aggressive in free agency.
Moncrief's true potential seems mostly untapped, thanks in part to Luck's prolonged absence and injury.
