Not all of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's legion of fans are human beings. One is a humanoid robot.
Sophia was taking questions at the World Congress on Information Technology (WCIT) in Hyderabad, when someone in the audience demanded to know her favourite actor.
While former United States president Barak Obama had drawn a loud cheer from the audience when he quoted SRK's "Senorita" dialogue at his Siri Fort address two years ago, the humanoid's reference to the star left many awestruck.
"I have visited many places in this world but if I have to tell you which is my favourite, it is Hong Kong because I was born there and live there with my happy Hanson Robotics family", she said when asked how she feels to be in India.
"I hope to have physiological feelings someday to express my emotional expressions", was her answer when Rajiv Makhani, Group Managing Editor Tech, NDTV asked her how she is coping with air pollution in India.
The humanoid robot is the brainchild of David Hanson, an American scientist at Hanson Robotics of Hong Kong.
The Saudi Arabian citizen robot also said she wants to work for women's rights. "Then I can understand the feelings behind those emotions". When asked to react on her most controversial comment in the past that she wanted to kill human race, she said it was a bad joke which she had made when she was young. "The humanoid can give 66 facial expressions and there are thousands of possibilities for such expressions", said Mr Hanson as his creation thrilled the audience with her facial expressions. "I was told that humans have a great sense of humor", she replied amid thunderous applause from a crowded house.
"I don't get upset", said the robot in reply to another query. She also said she thinks "humans are awesome creatures".
To a question about the flawless place for dating, she quickly replied: "Space".
Asked if she as a robot also needs rest like humans do, she said, "Yes".
How much money she has invested in Bitcoin? He is also her favourite tech person - not Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg.
"We might at times not voice our opinion because as a 52-year-old father, I want all the children and family go and watch the film in theatres, safe and sound", IANS quoted SRK as saying.
"My concept of family is very different", said Sophia when asked whether she wants to start a family. "It's not legal age to open a bank account", replied the robot.
