The Twitter account of India's ambassador to the United Nations, Syed Akbaruddin, was hacked on Sunday with the hackers posting two photographs of Pakistan's flag and the neighbouring country's President Mamnoon Hussain. We got your DM correspondence!
India's top diplomat at UN, Syed Akbaruddin became a victim of hacking as his twitter account was hacked by Turkish hackers.
The hackers changed the envoy's Twitter handle from @AkbaruddinIndia to @AkbaruddinSyed, which automatically caused Akbaruddin's account to lose its "blue tick".
One of the tweets from the account was a link to a YouTube video of Ayyildiz Tim.
The Turkish nationalist hackers have earlier launched attacks on several websites and social media accounts.
The tweets remained on the page for over an hour before they were deleted by Twitter based on a complaint by Akbaruddin.
Akbaruddin thanked twitter and said that it would take more than a hack to keep him down.
