Utah Jazz swingman Thabo Sefolosha is expected undergo MCL surgery and miss at least six months after leaving Friday night's game in Charlotte with a right knee injury, according to multiple reports.
Sefolosha, who signed with the Jazz as a free agent last offseason, is averaging 8.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.4 steals per contest.
The Jazz are also dealing with a significant injury to rising star center Rudy Gobert, who has played in just 18 games this season.
Gobert has been out since December 15 with a sprained left knee, and an evaluation Saturday revealed that he'll need at least another 7-to-10 days before returning to full-speed work. Utah is now 17-25, sitting in 10th place in the Western Conference.
