Dylan Windler scored a career-high 25 points with five 3-pointers, Kevin McClain added 20 points, and Belmont pulled ahead early to beat Eastern Illinois 75-66 on Saturday to win eight of its last nine games.

Phil Cofer added 16 points for Florida State (13-4, 2-3 Atlantic Coast Conference), which played without leading scorer and rebounder Terance Mann, who missed the game due to a concussion.

Florida State had a 10-point lead at halftime but found itself down 48-41 with 10:11 left as Syracuse took advantage of turnovers and cold shooting from the perimeter.

Battle opened the second half hot on offense scoring 13 points, including three 3-pointers, in the first six minutes of the half to put SU up 42-38.

Muusa Dama's layup capped a 12-3 run and EIU closed to 52-50 with 9:04 to play, but Windler's 3 sparked a 13-4 run for a 69-56 Bears lead with 1:13 left.

The Seminoles led 31-21 at halftime and were up 35-26 with 17:38 left before the Orange went on a 19-3 run. Montell Goodwin scored five straight points in a 10-6 run, but the Panthers couldn't catch the Bruins. It was only Florida State's third overtime game over the past four seasons and its first in double OT since beating Wake Forest 82-76 on January 28, 2015.
