BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle Release Date Announced, DLC Characters Confirmed

BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle launching in North America June 5th 2018

BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle launches May 31 in Japan and Asia, June 5 in North America; adds DLC character Blake

Of course Arc System Works was ahead of the curve, confirming the cross-over fighter BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle for Switch back in October. Those will be Ragna the Bloodedge, Jin Kisaragi, Noel Vermillion, Rachel Alucard, TR-0009 Tager, ν-13, Hazama, Makoto Nanaya, Azrael, and Es from BlazBlue: CentralFiction, Yu Narukami, Yosuke Hanamura, Chie Satonaka and Yukiko Amagi from Persona 4, Linne, Hyde, Gordeau and Waldstein from Under Night In-Birth Exe: Late [st], and Ruby and Weiss Schnee from RWBY.

The company also announced that Blake Belladonna from RWBY will appear as a playable character via downloadable content, and that a total of 20 characters will be playable in the base game, with an additional 20 planned as downloadable content. We now know of 21 fighters, plus the just-announced Blake Belladonna from RWBY, who will be one of the DLC additions.

DLC Character Set Vol. 1:???,???, and???

DLC Character Set Vol. 4:???,???, and???

All in all, the roster looks pretty good and even though it is clearly oversaturated with BlazBlue characters (which was kind of expected), 20 is still a respectable amount of characters for a base roster.

DLC Character Set Vol. 6:???,???, and??? Here's to hoping that the DLC doesn't cost too much.

With the game releasing first in Japan and Asia, it will come to North America and other areas on May 5.
