Three people are dead after a fiery crash on the city's Far South Side.
The males, whose ages were not immediately known, were in a 2016 Chevrolet that was speeding west about 1:10 a.m. when it hit a light pole in the 3300 block of East 100th, according to Chicago Police. The vehicle flipped onto its roof and caught fire.
All three people inside the auto were pronounced dead at the scene.
A witness captured video of the fiery crash, as flames engulfed the vehicle. Rilla captured video on his cellphone that shows a sedan on its roof with flames on both sides of the auto.
"I just heard popping sounds from the fire as if it was going to explode", Rilla told the Tribune in a message, "and that's when they made everyone leave".
