A 19-year-old Texas man wanted for the New Year’s Day killing of a romantic rival agreed to waive extradition back to the Lone Star State

The Stafford, Texas Police Department has arrest warrants for Briguglio and the juvenile, charging each of them with murder and said the girl had been reported missing.

According to a prepared statement from Ansonia Police Lt. Patrick Lynch, Giuseppe Briguglio, 19, of Katy, Texas, and a 17-year-old female whose name was not released were taken into custody late Thursday after being located on Beverly Drive in Ansonia.

Briguglio was charged with being a fugitive from justice and held on a $250,000 bond and will be arraigned in Derby court on Friday, Jan. 12.

Two teens who were wanted for a murder on New Year's Day in Texas were arrested in Ansonia last night. Following her arrest, Musante was taken to juvenile detention to be held for extradition to Texas. The arrested were the result of a joint investigation between the Ansonia Police Department Detectives, Shelton Police Detectives, Texas Rangers, and the Stafford Texas Police Department.

Police said Musante and Briguglio were taken into custody at 9:52 p.m. Thursday in CT, where they await extradition.
