China's air force drills warn US, South Korea

North Korea has vehemently criticised the drills since the weekend, saying the exercise precipitates USA and South Korean "self-destruction".

The joint USA and South Korean aerial armada includes American aircraft from the Air Force, Navy and the Marine Corps.

"I don't think you or anybody else is willing to bet the farm, or a US city on the decision-making-rational decision-making of Kim Jong Un", McMaster said.

A South Korean defense ministry official was unable to immediately verify the Yonhap report about the U.S. B-1B Lancer bombers taking part in the drills on Wednesday.

Two dozen USA stealth fighter jets took part in the drills, six of them F-22s, six of them F-35As, as well as a dozen F-35Bs, marking the first time the highly-advanced jets have cruised the skies above Korea at the same time. The drills follow a successful test by the DPRK of an intercontinental ballistic missile most analysts believe could reach the mainland United States. Their exercise was simulated to target key North Korean facilities including nuclear and missile sites.

A total of 12,000 USA service members are taking part in the annual Vigilant Ace drills alongside South Korean troops.

The White House might certainly consider sort of attempt to launch a disarming strike against North Korea.

According to a source close the army on Tuesday, a new group will be formed in the military dedicated to the development of drone bots and standard platforms, as well as creating a team of drone bot combatants, which will be a "game changer" on the battlefield.

During the Korean War that began in 1950 and is still technically ongoing, China came to the aid of the communist Northern Korean factions against the United States and their Southern allies, repaying the fledgling North's contribution to their own civil war, which the Chinese Communist Party had only won the previous year with Korean communist help. "Its intentions are to use that weapon for nuclear blackmail, and then, to, quote, you know, "reunify" the peninsula under the red banner".

Li Jie, a Chinese military expert based in Beijing, said the announcement was targeting the United States and South Korea.

Officials in Pyongyang have described the exercises as the US president "begging for a nuclear war".

On Wednesday, a spokesman for North Korea's foreign ministry said threats of a preemptive war against Pyongyang have made future war unavoidable on the Korean peninsula. Precautions must be taken to ensure Pyongyang does not make a similar error that results in an accidental nuclear war.
