Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari will hold a meeting with Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Tahirul Qadri today in Lahore, senior PPP leader Khursheed Shah said.

Earlier, the former president arrived at the Minhajul Quran Secretariat for the meeting being also attended by Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Manzoor Watto, Qamar Zaman Kaira and others.

"There is nothing new about the meeting and the two parties have been in contact previously too", said the opposition leader in the National Assembly.

On his part, Qadri said the Model Town inquiry report clearly indicated Shahbaz Sharif as a "murderer". "After this report, he stands condemned and a condemned man can not remain the CM of the largest province of Pakistan".

"Now we will not tolerate Shahbaz".

"The barriers around Minhajul Quran Secretariat were lawful and no one had objected to them for three years. Now we will fight and take to the streets with him (Qadri)".

Punjab government on Tuesday released the full report of the judicial inquiry carried out into the 2014 Model Town incident hours after larger bench of the Lahore High Court (LHC) ordered them to release the report regarding the incident which left at least 14 people dead and several others injured. It also maintains that the operation planned and designed under the then Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah "could have easily been avoided" and that the "police officers actively participated in the massacre". He also said that Sanaullah and Punjab Chief Minister should face a terrorism case and should be in jail for the incident.

"We will take steps, within the ambit of the law and the constitution, to bring those responsible for Model Town incident to justice", Qadri announced.
