Jet packs, flying cars, underwater cars and a trip inside the mysterious Mount Chilliad-all that and more look like they'll be part of The Doomsday Heist, a surprise "epic new online adventure" Rockstar announced today for Grand Theft Auto Online.
"A billionaire tech mogul, an idealistic intelligence agent, a socially awkward conspiracy theorist and a neurotic supercomputer have been forced into an unlikely alliance to save San Andreas from total annihilation", reads the official blurb.
GTA Online gets a new heist on 12 December-The Doomsday Heist is described as an "epic new online adventure" that sees your criminal crew contending with "apocalyptic" threats.
Their years of tireless investigating may finally be coming to a head with "The Doomsday Heist". Rise through the criminal ranks by banding together to complete Jobs for cash, purchase properties, vehicles and character upgrades, compete in traditional competitive modes, or create your own content to play and share with the Grand Theft Auto community.
You and your crew are recruited to unravel the mysteries and take down the looming threat, taking the fight from downtown Los Santos to the ocean floor, and even into the "inner depths" of Mount Chiliad. Since its launch, GTA Online's proved to be a massive success for Rockstar, making more than $500 million.
