Evans was linked with a move away from the Hawthornes over the summer, from top clubs such as Manchester City, Arsenal and Leicester.

Baggies ace Jake Livermore spoke exclusively to the Express & Star, and shared the target that new manager Alan Pardew has given his players for the season, highlighting how he is hoping that Pardew will have an immediate impact at the Hawthorns.

"Jonny Evans is definitely one of them and he is our captain".

Evans has 18 months remaining on his contract at The Hawthorns and, while committed to West Brom, it is hard to see the former Manchester United player signing a new deal with the prospect of European football on offer elsewhere. I understand that, we deal with it and Jonny has dealt with it in his own way. Do I want to lose him?

"He was terrific for me". Of course I do.

A goalless draw at home to Palace, Pardew's former club, last weekend left West Brom without a win in 13 Premier League games and just one place above the relegation zone. A six-pointer is when there's two games to go and you need to win six points to stay in the division.

The common denominator with all three is that they all have Premier League experience and that is key with Allardyce as he attempts to navigate Everton up the table after what has been a shocking season so far.
