Arsenal will end their UEFA Europa League Group Stage campaign when play hosts to BATE Borisov at the Emirates on Thursday, in what is a dead rubber for them, with top spot already secured in Group H. Ahead of the Matchday 6 tie, Arsene Wenger confirmed that he has no major problems in his squad.
Mustafi, who had been in impressive form of late, was replaced by Alex Iwobi after only 15 minutes of the 3-1 defeat by Manchester United on Saturday [2 December] due to an injury sustained following a costly blunder that led to the visitors' second early goal. He had a test on Friday morning, then even when he went to the game we weren't sure if he would play.
"It is not ideal for your balance, the way you fall down, for a footballer it's not great", said the Frenchman. "We'll play quite an experienced team".
Borisov head into the match on five points and in last place but knowing a win would take them into the knock-out rounds if Cologne's match with Partizan Belgrade is a draw.
"Overall I try to give them competition, which is what they have had until now".
We can not take any of these games lightly after tonight's game against BATE, and I am sure that there will need to be changes by the time we facr Newcastle at home in one of our easier games, but until then I expect Wenger to play with his strongest side available as we fight to get back into the Top Four.
