It's designed as a rogue-like twist on the linear nature of the original SUPERHOT. For those interested in Early Access, the team have promised that those involved will get insight into some of "of the brand new gameplay systems that are going to be central to the game", including new weapons and abilities in addition to "Procedural rogue-like run generation baked into the core gameplay loop, enabling us to tell longer, more complex stories and deliver tons more of satisfying skill-based gameplay".
The development studio behind the shooter game Superhot has announced it will be releasing a free standalone expansion pack for the game titled "Mind Control Delete".. The expansion is strictly non-VR, so don't worry about having a headset. It's still "a good 9-12 months away from a full release", say the devs, but Steam Early Access starts tomorrow.
Superhot is a unique first-person shooter where time only goes forward if you're moving. As you unlock powerful abilities and gain access to new playable characters, so will your enemies grow stronger, smarter and more desperate to stop you.
Superhot Team is estimating that Mind Control Delete's development "stretches into autumn-ish 2018".
The original Superhot is available on PC, Mac, Linux, Xbox One and PS4. However, they are also quick to point out that the Early Access build will be very "bleeding-edge", with story modes and replay points still to be added to the game build. Superhot VR is available on PC (with Oculus Rift and HTC Vive support) and PS VR.
