"Prior to the incidents involving Plaintiff, the Companies' executives, officers, directors, managing agents, and employees had actual knowledge of Weinstein's repeated acts of sexual misconduct with women", says the seven claim jury seeking complaint filed Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court by Gloria Allred for a Jane Doe who alleges two vile incidents with the now ex-TWC co-chair in 2015 and 2016". Mr. Weinstein has further confirmed that there were never any acts of retaliation against any women for refusing his advances.
"Any allegations of non-consensual sex are unequivocally denied by Mr. Weinstein", the producer's representative Holly Baird wrote in a statement. From there, he invited her to awards show parties and maintained regular communication over the next few years. "Mr. Weinstein obviously can't speak to anonymous allegations, but with respect to any women who have made allegations on the record, Mr. Weinstein believes that all of these relationships were consensual". The producer asked her if he could masturbate in front of her, and when she refused, he held her by the wrist and forced her to watch him, the lawsuit said. The following spring, Doe says she met with him again under the impression she had been chosen for a part.
During their meeting, the suit states that Weinstein excused himself and returned in a bathrobe. Before she could leave, she alleges that Weinstein pulled her into the bedroom. She claims that he then pulled down her jeans and began to orally copulate her against her will.
He then used his "weight and strength" to force himself inside her. That 2016 meeting turned into a sexual assault that saw Weinstein penetrating the woman forcefully and against her will.
The harassment and abuse allegations against Weinstein have created led to numerous women coming forward with allegations of harassment and abuse against powerful men, including actor Kevin Spacey, numerous entertainment industry executives and politicians in the United States and overseas. As well as claiming sexual battery, gender violence, battery, assault, and negligence, the wide ranging damages seeking complaint also wants an injunction from the courts that stop Weinstein and TWC from "engaging in similar conduct toward other women".
