Similar element resistance is coming to other devices as well, and the Razer BlackWidow Ultimate is an upgraded version of their popular keyboard that now has an IP54 water and dust resistance rating. The problem with most keyboards is that once you get them wet or get lots of debris inside, they tend to not work well. Razer has announced that its Blackwidow Ultimate keyboard has been redesigned to bring players functionality that includes both water resistance and protection against harmful dust particles. That means you don't have to sweat the spills that would have probably ruined your old keyboard. Of course, it also comes with the traditional backlit keys and the Razer Mechanical Switches. You're limited to green lighting, but you can still create lighting effects like ripples and waves. The switches used under the keys are Razer Green Switches with a lifespan of up to 80 million keystrokes. The keyboard is programmable with support for on-the-fly macro recording and Razer fits the BlackWidow Ultimate with 1000Hz ultrapolling.
While the new BlackWidow Ultimate isn't quite at that level, Razer is confident that it is the most resilient board in its arsenal and could perhaps be one of the most protected boards available commercially.
