Chelsea legend Frank Lampard has named John Terry and Didier Drogba as his favourite teammates.

The 39-year-old who is now playing for USL side Phoenix Rising in the United States, is to devote his time to other projects.

The 2012 Champions League victor scored 10 goals in 14 regular season games to help his franchise into the USL playoffs, where they lost to eventual championship runners-up Swope Park Rangers.

"Ah, do you want a scoop?"

It means that if Drogba, who scored nine times in 14 total appearances for Phoenix in 2017, will have at most one full year left as a professional player.

Speaking to RMC, the Drogba commented, "I think next year will be my last season". "There comes a time when you have to stop", said Drogba, who is reportedly aiming to follow in David Beckham's footsteps and attempt to launch his own MLS franchise. Too bad. I would have liked to come back to Marseille.

A true power-playing centre-forward, he won four Premier League titles at Stamford Bridge, as well as four FA Cups, three League Cups and a memorable Uefa Champions League in 2012.

"Now, was I part of the project when I wanted to come back?"

Since leaving Chelsea, Drogba has had brief spells with Shanghai Shenhua, Galatasaray, Montreal Impact and is now with Rising FC.

The former Marseilles striker twice won the prestigious Caf African Footballer of the Year Award.
