British automobile manufacturer Jaguar Land Rover has launched its first made in India performance SUV - Jaguar F-Pace 2018 for Rs 60.02 lakh (ex-showroom).
The company has commenced local assembly for only the 2018 model year 20d AWD Prestige trim, which is the sole variant of the SUV on sale at present.
Some prominent features of this sports auto inspired vehicle include 2.0-litre Ingenium diesel engine with 132PS at 4,000rpm, peak torque of 430Nm at 1,750-2,500rpm, top speed of 208kmph, and 100kmph acceleration in just 8.7 seconds. The more powerful F-Pace 30d has been discontinued for now but could be reintroduced later. "The launch of the locally manufactured F-PACE signifies another milestone in our continued commitment and efforts towards "Make in India" policy of the Government of India". It comes with standard features such as Jaguar Drive Control, LED headlights and tail-lamps, 380V Meridian sound system, a 12.3-inch instrument display and a 10.2-inch touchscreen. The carmaker has said that bookings for the SUV are now open and deliveries are set to begin from the end of November.
The Jaguar range in India includes the XE (starting at Rs 35.85 lakh), XF (starting at Rs 46.46 lakh), F-Pace (starting at Rs 60.02 lakh), XJ (starting at Rs 1.80 crore) and F-Type (starting at Rs 1.34 lakh).
