Akkineni Nagarjuna's Annapurna Studios was caught in a bad fire incident in Hyderabad on Monday event. Due to the heavy traffic, the fire tenders arrived late and the staff members had to barricade the studio to prevent people from entering.
In an unfortunate incident, a major fire broke out at Annapurna studio in Banjara Hills on Monday evening. Fire personnel were yet to ascertain what triggered the blaze. Manam was a special movies as it starred the Akkineni of all three generations - Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya.
The reports also suggest that two film sets were detroyed completely because of the fire attack. TV reports say that the sets have been completely burnt. Earlier in the day, another fire accident was reported at Ravindra Bharathi, a cultural centre, due to short circuit.
He said no casualties were reported. Actor and managing director of the studios Akkineni Nagarjuna said the set was very close to the family as it was where his father Nageswara Rao spent his last days. However, the fire damaged speakers, cables, setting lights and other equipment, at the main stage area at the auditorium.
