For all you Gilmore Girls fans out there who were happy with the series' revival, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, but not-so-secretly want more from Lorelai and Rory, you're in luck, because there could be more episodes in the future... well, maybe. Alexis Bledel has said that she'd be open to it if the timing was right, and Scott Patterson would be down for a reunion once a year.

"We carved out a little niche for ourselves with Amazon saying that if we ever want to do it, if the girls and us get together and we have a concept that works, then we have the freedom to do it", she said in an interview with RadioTimes.

The Gilmore Girls showrunner and her husband/writing partner Daniel Palladino signed an overall deal with Amazon in September, and at the time it seemed unlikely that the duo would be able to continue making their old series with rival streaming giant Netflix. "Because we had to repaint Stars Hollow, and we'll have to repaint it again". "We feel great about it", she said.

Lauren, meanwhile, has spoken publicly about returning on several occasions.

And at a Gilmore Girls panel in April, she said: 'Now it has become a dialogue with the fans of the show; if it all existed in a vacuum I would play that character until my dying day. Here's hoping that past year wasn't our final time in Stars Hollow; after all, there are so many more Friday Night Dinners to be had. I would never want it to feel like we overstayed our welcome. 'I'm just interested in telling a story that is dynamic and that I sort of relate to and can hook into. I don't know. It's such an unknown, I don't think we anticipated that this would happen'.
