Authorities say a woman has died after becoming pinned under her own SUV during a supermarket parking lot accident in northeastern Massachusetts
The incident happened in the parking lot of a Market Basket in Westford.
A MA woman was crushed to death by her own SUV while putting groceries away.
The woman died of her injuries, according to the release. Another driver, who was attempting to park, then struck her vehicle and caused it to roll backwards, pinning her underneath.
"There was a woman under the vehicle and I could see her legs moving", a witness said. "Our hearts go out to her family and our thoughts and prayers are with them, a feeling shared by everyone in our company".
The driver who struck her vehicle, whose name was also not released last night, remained on scene and cooperated with investigators, according to the statement. No charges have been filed.
Westford Police, Massachusetts State Police and the office of Middlesex D.A. Marian Ryan say the case remains open and under investigation.
