ZTE Nubia Z17 miniS smartphone was launched in October 2017. While the Z17S is the flagship offering with great specs, the Z17S miniS is more of a mid-range handset that features toned down specifications.
The Nubia Z17S with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage is priced at CNY 2,999 (about Rs. 29,617) in China, while the variant with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage is priced at CNY 3,999 (about Rs. 39,499). The Nubia Z17 miniS costs lesser at CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs. 20,000). The smartphone is up for pre-order and will go on sale starting October 19.
Up front, the Nubia Z17 miniS packs a 5.2-inch Full HD IOS display that's protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. A 16-megapixel sensor with a secondary 5-megapixel sensor at the front and two 13-megapixel Sony sensors (Monochrome + RGB) with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, and NeoVision 7.0. According to the specifications page, Nubia Z17S has a Sensor IMX362 12MP sensor on the back and a Sony IMX318 sensor which is the 23MP one. There's no OIS on the rear camera. On the inside, the Z17 miniS is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 octa-core SoC coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. It is a dual sim device with dual standby support. It runs on Android Nougat 7.1.1 with Nubia UI on top. The handset measures 147.46 x 72.69 x 8.5 mm and weighs 170 grams. The smartphone has a 5.2 inches display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution at 424 PPI density.
The Nubia Z17 miniS is an updated version of the Nubia Z17 mini which was launched back in June this year. On the other hand, the front dual camera setup is consist of a 16MP f/2.2 and a 5MP f/2.2 wide-angle lens and offers features like real-time bokeh and beauty mode.
On the battery front, the phone sports a 3200 mAh one and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor, which is an octa-core one with Adreno 510 GPU.
