Astros-Yankees: 5 things to watch in ALCS

Aaron Judge did make a game-saving catch in Game 3 and delivered a key two-run double in Game 4

Keuchel had a 1.12 WHIP with 125 strikeouts in 145 2/3 innings in the regular season. Altuve hit three home runs in Game 1 of the ALDS against the Boston Red Sox, ending the series with a 1.765 OPS.

Keuchel, who will start Game 1, iced the Yankees in his lone start against them in the regular season, going six innings with five hits and earned runs.

The Yankees overcame a brutal series from Aaron Judge at the plate to advance to the ALCS. Also, a seven-game series is slightly different than a five-game series.

Over on the Yankees' side, they went to Game 5 against the Indians having lost their first two games in Cleveland 4-0 and 9-8, then winning 1-0 and 7-3 in NY before returning to Cleveland for Game 5 and a tense victory 5-2. After the tense five games in the ALDS, I'm not sure NY is going to come out firing here. In his 162.2 innings and 10-12 record this year, Gray put up a 3.54 ERA with 153 Ks. Starting pitchers have not been announced, but it is safe to assume two of Sonny Gray, Severino and Tanaka will start in Games 1 and 2.

-David Robertson came out of the bullpen in the fifth to give NY the first 2 2/3 innings of 4 2/3 innings of no-hit relief. We know who runs "Club Astros". spokesperson Cameron Papp said about 3,500 tickets for Game 1 and about 4,000 for Game 2 were available on that site as of midafternoon Thursday.

Judge and Sanchez this season combined for 88 home runs, with Judge setting a rookie record with 52 blasts, and 204 RBIs. For the Astros, Jose Altuve hit three home runs in the series opener versus the Red Sox and was 8-for-15 plus four walks in the series.

One league MVP candidate is doing his best to secure a pennant for the Astros, while the Yankees' leading slugger is hoping to end his free fall in the ALCS. Carlos Correa and Alex Bregman both had two home runs to help lead Houston to the series win. The Indians entered the postseason as the hottest team in Major League Baseball, having rattled off a 22-game win streak, winning 33 of their last 37 games. But the lineup of the Astros is a minefield to navigate through and it's hard to see them being slowed down for an entire series as Boston found out very quickly.

The "Baby Bombers", as the Yankees' young core is often called, have already exceeded expectations, and a loss to the Astros in the ALCS would not be a disappointment.

Altuve hit.346 in the regular season to win his second straight AL batting title and third in four years.
