But on Thursday, he wrote on social media he would "be ready to fight in April 2018 in a great fight".
"And again in the summer in a mega fight and again in back end of year".
Tyson Fury has revealed via Twitter that he's planning to have three fights in 2018.
In the time since his last fight, Fury has been stripped of the belts he won after his fight with Klitschko.
Earlier in October, Fury announced that he would reapply for his boxing license after he had it suspended by the British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC) past year following the investigations surrounding anti-doping. & again in the summer in a mega fight! "3 big fights in 2018".
Back in March this year, Fury tweeted that his return fight would take place on May 13, before the BBBofC spoke out against such an idea, stating that Fury's boxing licence was still suspended and that no such comeback would be happening.
As the British Boxing Board of Control and the UK Anti-Doping Agency drag their heels on a ruling, Fury had already stated his intention to be licensed by an alternative organization and now says a return is on the card this spring.
It's anyone's guess who the "great fight" and "mega-fight" could be against as Fury will be forced to fight outside the United Kingdom should he eventually find a body willing to sanction him without the consent of the BBBofC.
