Adams had been due to get in the ring at 3pm in Las Vegas - or 11pm in the United Kingdom - a few hours before the middleweight title clash between Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and Gennady "GGG" Golovkin.
British boxer Nicola Adams' scheduled fight with Hungarian Alexandra Vlajk was called off soon before the start time due to a problem with her Hungarian opponent's pre-fight blood test.
But the bout was abandoned just before the fighters were due in the ring.
BBC Sports reports that the 35-year-old, who said the bout would not go ahead because of a problem with her opponent, added: "Thank you everyone for your support and kind messages".
Adams tweeted that she is "devastated" at her encounter being cancelled at the 11th hour.
The Las Vegas fight on a huge pay-per-view event would have been Adams's most high profile fight as a professional and increased her exposure in the U.S. and internationally.
The Briton had earlier spoken of the excitement of being in the boxing capital of the US.
