A transfer petition seeking the shifting of the Ryan International School murder case from Haryana to Delhi or any other state has been filed in the Supreme Court.

He contended that the fundamental right of the accused to get a fair trial has been affected seriously as lawyers in Gurugram and neighbouring Sohna have resolved not to represent him before the trial court.

Tulsi told the bench that the Sohna Bar Association has passed a resolution saying no lawyer would appear for the accused in the brutal murder of Pradhuman Thakur, a seven-year-old student who was found with his throat slit inside the school's washroom on September 8. Thomas was arrested on Monday in connection with the murder of the boy in school premises on Friday last week.

Tulsi has allegedly urged the court to transfer the case from Haryana's Sohna to Delhi's Saket court. The Haryana police arrested school bus conductor Ashok Kumar for the murder.

The bench assured the counsel of Francis Thomas, northern zone head of Ryan Group, that it will hear the petition on September 18.
