Emma and Sasha got engaged on the show and Carrie Ann Inaba similarly got a ring on her finger.
Carrie Ann Inaba and Robb Derringer have quietly ended their engagement, a source tells PEOPLE exclusively.
The couple announced their engagement last December after bit-part actor Robb proposed at the same California beach where they had enjoyed their first date.
This comes after Inaba posted a cryptic photo to Instagram reading, "Just when I think I have learned the way to live, life changes", and captioned with a broken heart emoji.
Rumors have been flying for about a month now about the state of the couple's relationship, and those all came to a head over the weekend when Inaba hosted an event in Hawaii for Olympic figure skater and Season 6 victor Kristi Yamaguchi. "There was just a powerful and palpable sense of destiny that I could not deny".
At the time the famed choreographer said: 'As a young girl, I had always dreamed about going on a date like the first date I shared with Robb'. I could see then how pure of heart he was and how generous and caring his soul was.
"Everything about the evening felt so "right". "We talked about everything under the stars ... even marriage. There was a strong sense of destiny that night, and I think I knew then, deep in my heart, that he and I were going to be together forever", she said.
