Neighbors in Rhode Island said that he mostly kept to himself, though had experienced tragedy four years ago.

Travis Frink, 48, of Warwick, Rhode Island, is charged with first-degree murder.

Denver police responded to a report of an active shooter at Rose Medical Center in Denver on September 16, 2016. He said he and his wife married 20 years ago.

Police went room to room searching for the suspect.

Frink's lawyer didn't immediately return a voicemail message left Wednesday by The Associated Press.

It's still not clear if a shooting happened Tuesday at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon.

"You became very creative over the hours...one team set up a MASH unit in the parking lot and saw over 40 patients, removed stitches, changed dressings and scheduled those patients to return later this week for follow-up", she wrote.

An email from the hospital sent earlier Tuesday afternoon said the Dartmouth-Hitchcock campus is on lockdown, a shelter in place order is in effect, and Hanover and Lebanon police are on the scene.
