Live from the Apollo, Bruno Mars lands his first TV special

Bruno Mars is gearing up for his first solo television special at New York's iconic Apollo Theater for a primetime feature set to air on November 29.

Indicated by the title, the special was taped at the iconic Apollo Theater in New York City.

The concert will mark Bruno's first solo television special and feature never-before-seen stage footage addition to the performance with Mars and his band the Hooligans.

"For me, Bruno Mars is the greatest performer in the world", said Ben Winston, who is executive producing with Mars. He is the very definition of event television.

Sussman also said that the network is "proud to broadcast" his historic first TV special. As of press time, tickets to the upcoming concert tour are already sold out prompting the local promoter MMI Live to turn his show into a two-night event instead of just a one-night affair.

"Mars was spotted treating attendees to live performances of his singles 'That's What I Like" and "24K Magic" atop the Apollo's landmark marquee. In 2014 Mars made NFL history with the second most watched Super Bowl Halftime Show, which saw a record-breaking total viewership of over 115.3 million, all while being the youngest artist ever to serve as the sole NFL Super Bowl Halftime headliner.
