Bluffton: Waste Management Trash/Recycling resumes regular schedule tomorrow

Bluffton has been notified by Waste Management its collections will resume on its regular schedule for both recycling and trash tomorrow, September 13, for the Town of Bluffton. Recycling and horticulture will not be picked up yet. Carts, as well as additional trash bags, placed curbside will be picked up on the regular collection day.

But Rodriguez wants to assure customers that the trash and recyclables will be collected by the county's trash hauler, Waste Management Inc.

Place debris at the curb in separate piles: garbage, yard waste, building debris, appliances, and other wastes. The city anticipates that collection will begin next week. There will be no make-up days for recycling collection.

Recycling collection operations are suspended for the week.

Only debris generated by the storm event on maintained residential property is eligible for collection. Garbage will be collected on a normal schedule beginning Monday, September 18.

Yard waste collection will be suspended until vegetative storm debris has been collected.

Residents may also take storm debris to the Lena Road Landfill where disposal may be subject to standard fee rates, which can be viewed here.
