"I've had 3 C-sections", a user on Instagram wrote, "and it's by far not the "laziest thing I've ever done" ... come on @katehudson you must've known you were gonna get hate on for that answer".

The comment quickly drew criticism from many angry readers who took to social media to slam the movie star. Then my hips weren't opening, and I wasn't dilating.

"Even if it was elective for no medical reason, major abdominal surgery and giving birth still isn't the laziest thing any human being has ever done", one commenter wrote. Call me lazy but I'd rather be alive with him than dead from being "not lazy". How very inappropriate and insensitive, ' wrote one follower.

But there was a glimmer of support amongst the social media flurry, with Twitter user Jim McClausand pointing out that most C-sections are not a choice, "Hers was so get over yourself".

On average, 32 percent of women in the US give birth via C-section. "The heal time? The 9 months of work prior?"

And while Kate is obviously laughing off her birth decision of first-born Ryder, who is now thirteen, - others C-section mums are taking her too-posh-to-push insinuation much more seriously.

However not everyone was so quick to slam the actress, with some fans pointing out that she has spoken out before about her own hard birth - and even explains herself in the cover interview itself.

Many C-section mums on Instagram commented on her cover photo, explaining why they found it offensive and ignorant, as well as just another example of why women who don't have vaginal births are shamed by society. Teaching the 7-year old how to pour cereal and milk for her AND her sister?

And this was just one of them - several others pointed out how C-section might be the only way out in complicated situations.

In addition to the inflammatory response to one of the questionnaire's questions, Kate also revealed that out of all her former costars, she's choose Liv Tyler as a roommate, and would pick Larry David to play her leading man. I was in labour. The doctor said I could go home, but it was such a pain in the butt to get to hospital because we were being stalked by photographers. I just don't want to do this again. Kate said she was having contractions 2-5 minutes apart, but nothing was happening.
