Trump appeared to be referring to Kim's decision to put a hold on launching four missiles into the waters around the Pacific island of Guam, as North Korea had previously threatened.
"Until somebody solves the part of the equation that shows me that 10 million people in Seoul don't die in the first 30 minutes from conventional weapons, I don't know what you're talking about, there's no military solution here, they got us", Steve Bannon said.
The ambassador has said that the the U.S.'s "hostile policy" has consisted of a "full-scale provocation" that traverses "across all fields of politics, economy and military", and called the U.N. Security Council resolution to pass the USA -drafted sanctions on August 5th a "flagrant infringement upon (DPRK's) sovereignty and an open challenge to it".
While they stress they want to convince Kim Jong-Un's regime through diplomatic means of the need to disarm, they have not dropped the threat of military action. Pyongyang sees these large, recurring exercises as threatening and aggressive, and in the current context they might provoke the North to carry out its plan to fire missiles toward Guam. According to a military source on August 18, "In this year's Ulchi Freedom Guardian exercise, there will be about 50,000 South Korean troops and a total of 17,500 American troops, including 3,000 overseas reinforcements".
"I would consider that North Korea is crossing a red line if it launches an intercontinental ballistic missile again and weaponizes it by putting a nuclear warhead on top of the missile", Moon said.
"It reinforces the images of the strides North Korea made in missile capability and how North Korea is undaunted by any challenges to its sovereignty." he said.
President Kim Jong Un's regime made the blustery threat as the US and South Korea prepared for a joint military exercise on Monday, CNN reported. "North Korea is nearing the red line". The goal of the measures is to ban about $1 billion worth of North Korean exports including coal, iron ore and seafood.
Even though North Korea has backed off its plans to launch a missile strike near Guam this month, it may just be a matter of time before things re-escalate. This is a firm agreement between South Korea and the US.
"I call upon the North Korean government: without global cooperation and co-existence economic development is impossible", he also said.
There are two things North Korea doesn't like. Trump calling the bilateral FTA with South Korea "a frightful deal" has ordered his trade representative to renegotiate some of the terms in the trade pact. "The nuclear program arose owing to the nuclear threat of the United States, and is an issue to be resolved between North Korea and the United States".
The two chilling missiles entered the scene this year when North Korea tested the Hwasong-12 a new weapon it claimed was capable of carrying a "large-size, heavy nuclear warhead" as far as the United States in May.
