Jaberi Ansari, while expressing his concern over the severe humanitarian crisis in Yemen and the support of UN's efforts to end the Yemeni war and crisis, presented the proposed framework of the Islamic Republic of Iran to solve the political crisis in Yemen and the principles that must be taken to resolve the issues.
Meantime, Ould Cheikh Ahmed is scheduled to meet with Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif.
The UN envoy arrived in Tehran on Saturday to discuss the Yemeni conflict with Iranian officials.
Besides, Hossein Jaberi Ansari, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs, said on Saturday that Iran supports all the efforts by the United Nations to put an end to the war in the crisis-hit Yemen.
Earlier in the day, Cheikh Ahmed held talks with Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Jaberi Ansari.
He also called on Iran to support the UN's efforts in this regard.
The two sides also exchanged views on new ideas for create openings in the current political deadlock. Leading a number of its vassal states, Saudi Arabia launched the military aggression on Yemen to eliminate the Houthi Ansarullah movement and reinstall a Riyadh-friendly former president.
