West Brom see £10m bid for Kieran Gibbs rejected

Arsenal have rejected an offer from Premier League rivals West Bromwich Albion for full-back Kieran Gibbs, according to Sky Sports News.

Following the arrival of Sead Kolasinac at the Emirates, the 27-year-old has fallen even further down the defensive pecking order.

The defender only managed to feature in 22 matches in all competitions last season but he still contributed with five assists.

With Nacho Monreal having firmly established himself ahead of the 27-year-old in the pecking order in North London, and talented Bosnian wing-back Sead Kolasinac having arrived at the club from German outfit Schalke, former English worldwide Gibbs looks likely to find himself as the odd man out at the Emirates come the beginning of next season.

Gibbs was not included in Arsene Wenger's squad for the pre-season tour to Australia and China.

Since making his debut with the England national team seven years ago, Gibbs has only managed to make 10 appearances for his country.

"I think he signed a three or four-year contract so we have no reason to get rid of Chadli". The deal includes an option for West Brom to make the switch permanent for the price of one million Euros.
