Champions Trophy: India, Pak gear up for 'mother of all finals'

India and Pakistan are all set to take on each in Champions Trophy final for the second time in cricket's history.

The party chairman has also announced that a reception will be given in the honor of team's victory at Lahore High Court.

Arthur is confident the India "aberration" is now behind Pakistan, who've also lost all three of their previous knockout matches at International Cricket Council tournaments against their fiercest foes.

United States Consulate General Karachi posted a video in which Ambassador David Hale and staff of US Embassy Islamabad wish Pakistan best of luck for their ICC Champions Trophy 2017 final against India, Samaa reported.

Meanwhile, Pakistan would consider it as a golden opportunity to avenge their first match defeat against India and clinch their maiden title.

It was exactly two weeks ago when the Virat Kohli-led side thrashed Pakistan by 124 runs in their opening match of the eight-team marquee event at the Edgbaston Cricket Ground in Birmingham.

Earlier, Kohli had said that the Group Stage game would not have any relevance in what he expects to be a very exciting summit clash.

Pakistan, on the other hand, have also lived up to their "unpredictable" standards, with their comprehensive wins over South Africa and Sri Lanka after the first game debacle against Kohli and Co.

"What we've produced after that doesn't come as any surprise, because that's how we trained, and that's what we worked at", Arthur told reporters at The Oval on Saturday. The last time India and Pakistan met in the finals was in T20 World Cup in 2007. "I think Virat is really doing well and India will win", said a fan from Vadodara. The batting department for Pakistan under the likes of opener Azhar Ali and Fakhar Zaman followed by Babar Azam and Mohammad Hafeez will look to flourish against India having got to good starts in the previous matches but failing to build lethal partnerships.India, on the other side have looked a balanced side with both their batting and bowling departments having managed to click throughout the tournament. Two dot balls folllow as Jadeja ups his length, but then he drifts down the leg side - that is a bad ball on a day studded with bad balls - and is swept to the fine leg boundary for four more.
