Sessegnon, who celebrated his 17th birthday on Thursday, played 27 times for Fulham this season scoring seven goals in the process. The very same reasons that will likely see Robertson seek suitors in the Premier League, namely facing a season playing Championship football, is also likely to spur 17-year-old Sessegnon to seek a similar football trajectory.
Left-back is the area where the German manager is eager to strengthen the most and the club feel they can finally solve the problem area - where midfielder James Milner has filled in this season - with a £15m deal for Sessegnon. The player is being tailed by nearly every top Premier League club, with the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal all linked with the prodigious left-back.
The Reds intend to sell Alberto Moreno, who has struggled for minutes on the pitch this season, as part of their summer clearout and will look to provide better competition for James Milner on the left side of defence.
Liverpool are also hopeful of bringing in Southampton's Virgial van Dijk - though they face much stiffer competition for his signature - while Klopp is also looking to move for Hull City's Andrew Robertson after seeing the Tigers relegated from the Premier League.
The defender is only now able to sign his first professional contract, and has yet to agree any deal with Fulham who are desperate to keep him at Craven Cottage.
There are yet to be any concrete reports regarding Liverpool's interest in signing an experienced full-back this summer wich could indicate the Jürgen Klopp will use Milner as his go-to man again next season.
