The company started a Galaxy S8 pre-registration page on April 5th where interested people were allowed to sign up to receive notifications regarding the smartphone. Even Flipkart started teasing the launch of the smartphones on its website and now we finally have the device launched officially. Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus goes for pre-orders starting Wednesday on Flipkart The devices go on sale starting from 5th May for a price tag of Rs 57,900 for the Galaxy S8, and Rs 64,900 for the Galaxy S8 Plus. Now with these prices, they are definitely not the cheapest costing phone on the market, however, they are certainly worth the price which you are paying, with all those top notch specs and premium build quality. Both the phones boast of a 2960x1440 pixel (WQHD+) resolution and Super AMOLED panels. Though the U.S. variant comes with the Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 835 processor. The glass material used on both the front and back panels makes it vulnerable to cracks.
The Galaxy S8 comes with a 5.8 inch QHD display; while the Galaxy S8+ comes with a 6.2 inch QHD display. Despite having a attractive looking display, some global users are complaining about the weird 18:5:9 aspect ratio.
Meanwhile, the LG G6 keeps the dual-back-camera approach from a year ago, but changes the components. The 8 MP front camera sports a sensor with f/1.7 aperture. The dual-SIM phones run Android Nougat-based TouchWiz UI - Samsung Experience UX - and support 4G LTE connectivity. Powering the S8 is a 3000mAh battery, whereas the S8 Plus is a slightly larger 3500mAh battery.
Both the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ come with a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, an iris scanner and facial recognition for biometric security. And yes, don't forget about the new Bixby assistant. Except for the camera, every other department has got a major makeover.
