The world is waiting for the official word on the proposed fight between boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. and UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor.
In an interview given to IFLTV after watching Conlan's win, he said: "F*** Floyd, trust me, this whole boxing world don't know what their going to see when I roll in here, I'm unpredictable - nobody knows what they're in for".
"The UFC gloves are no different from boxing gloves, they're just a little bit smaller, but if a guy got power, he got power and Conor McGregor got power", the former pound for pound king of boxing said during an interview with Showtime.
Mayweather said last Thursday he'd want to fight McGregor in Moscow, according to Russian state-owned media network RT (via Bloody Elbow's Karim Zidan): "At the moment we have not signed any papers, but I hope that the match will take place in June".
"Look me in the eyes, 28 years of age, confident as a m-- f-- long, rangy, risky with every hand", added the motor-mouthed Irishman with conviction.
Speaking to the Los Angeles Times, the Irishman said: [September] "is what I'm thinking".
Mayweather is undefeated in boxing after 49 fights and will go down as the sport's greatest athlete.
"When pushed as to when the fight is likely happen, he added: "'We're getting close.
Despite McGregor's success in MMA, boxing experts agree that he would have little chance, if any, to challenge the best boxer of his generation. I flew to Las Vegas to have talks with Floyd and then he retired.
"He just does not want to see me". He's petrified. Wouldn't you be? No one in this boxing game knows what's coming. Look me in the eyes, 28 years of age, confident as a m--f--, long, rangy, unsafe with every hand. "Watch me take over boxing, trust me on that", screamed McGregor.
"Everybody's writing me off, but their going be in shock, make no mistake about it".
"I'm going to stop Floyd and you're all going to eat your words".
