Swiss luxury watch manufacturer Gc is among those, with an announcement that it will be offering Android Wear 2.0 smartwatches this year. Due to the fact that ZTE Quartz is apparently running the latest major iteration of Android Wear and boasts 3G capabilities, the smartwatch should be able to operate without being paired to a smartphone, meaning it will function just like the LG Watch Style, LG Watch Sport, and wearables slated to receive the upgrade to Android Wear 2.0 in the coming weeks.
Guess' first Connect smartwatch was kind of a hybrid device that combined a traditional wristwatch with a small few smart features using a tiny digital display integrated into its face. Partnering up with Google and Qualcomm Technologies Inc., Guess will be introducing smartwatches with variants for men and women. One of the eight styles looks a lot like the original Connect, while the others will offer jewel-encrusted metallic finishes in gold, rose gold, and silver. Accompanying the different body styles are more than 100 different watch face and sub-dial combinations, ready to fine tune the Connect's look even further, plus a range of straps.
Well today the folks of Android Police bring us more news about the watch in questions (and new pictures too). The device will get its full unveiling at Baselworld 2017, which kicks off on Thursday, March 23, in Messe Barsel, Switzerland.
The Connect won't go on sale until "Fall / Winter 2017", Guess says, so there's plenty of time to save up for it if you like what you see later this week.
