Game Freak Job Ad Hints At A Nintendo Switch Pokemon Game

Nintendo Switch Pokemon game one step closer to reality as Game Freak hunts talent

Game Freak is Hiring Designer to Make “Monster Models”

Some recent posts on job recruitment site Indeed have people crossing their fingers, because Pokémon developer Game Freak is looking for some console-level talent.

Apparently the successful applicant will be tasked with creating "cartoon-like super deformed characters, monsters, and item models" as well as debugging and whatnot.

There have been other reports in the past to support this theory as a year ago, some evidence appeared that a Nintendo Switch Pokemon game was in development as Pokemon Star.

A Pokémon game for the Switch would be a huge deal, of course, and it would be intriguing to see the direction that Game Freak would go with it. "It's a title that just about anyone knows, a proposal that could be your future career", it continues, as well as mentioning that the platform is going to be a console. Both contracts are projected to last until May 2018 at the latest. "Apart from main games, we make stuff like Pokkén [Tournament] and [Pokémon Mystery] Dungeon, so I am thinking we should make games that suit the Switch, but at this time I can not confirm any projects".
