President-elect Donald Trump on Thursday named Kellyanne Conway to the post of Counselor to the President.

Mr. Trump called Ms. Conway a "tireless and tenacious advocate of my agenda" and said she "has unbelievable insights on how to effectively communicate our message".
According to a statement released by the transition team, Conway will continue her role as a close adviser to Trump, working with senior leadership to further the his administration's goals.
Conway will work with senior administration officials to communicate and execute Trump's legislative priorities and action, the statement said.
Conway, who graduated magna cum laude from Washington D.C.'s Trinity College, is the founder and owner of a polling and political research company. "A Trump presidency will bring real change to Washington and to Americans across this great nation. I am humbled and honored to play a role in helping transform the movement he has led into a real agenda of action and results", Conway added.

Unlike positions on Trump cabinet, Conway's role is not subject to Senate confirmation.
